Hello and welcome to my web page,

I am an electronics engineer employed by Zenics LTD in Leek, Staffordshire (web link on the right, under the blog roll section). The position entails the repair and maintenance of motion control equipment.

I also help a colleague with designing and manufacturing equipment for disabled people as I have a passion for electronics and to assist in expanding my electronic skills, I am an active radio ham (GX4MWS, link on the right)within the local ham radio community. The callsign i currently use is 2E0CJD.

I am an acredited engineering member of the IET (Institute of Engineering Technology) which assists my electronics knowledge through communication with fellow engineers.(Link on the right in the blogroll section)

My most recent project was the conversion of my loft space to run from a bank of batteries powered by solar panels which has helped reduce my carbon footprint and save money on the electric bill. I can now power my lighting, radio kit, laptop, test equipment and much more from my green power. I am also investigating wind power systems.
